Prevencio Announces Milestones
Coronary Heart Disease Diagnostic Development

Prevencio announces the completion of proteomic analysis of archived serum samples from emergency room patients for the validation of diagnostic technology aimed at detecting early heart disease. The study was conducted in collaboration with researchers from the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Pathology and the Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC. The research findings support a patent filed by Pitt and co-developed with Prevencio under a sponsored research agreement. Last year, Prevencio signed a world-wide licensing agreement with Pitt and the Company is now preparing for prospective studies and subsequent commercialization of the new intellectual property. Prevencio is a late-stage medical diagnostics entity with laboratory and office space in the Icogenex research incubator, located in Seattle, WA. The Company is pursuing novel in vitro diagnostic assays for heart disease and stroke.
